Just walked in the door, so i'll give some thoughts before i read others reactions.

General: Great to see dave hoffman back and glad to hear the applause he got when announced. Loved being back in blacksburg, just a fun experience.

125: Dance is who he is, nothing is changing. Not a super inspiring performance, but joey will be judged by his march results (fair or not)

133: Tough spot for latona who is rising to the occasion. He propably needs a RS year, but he's wrestling we'll and tough most of all. Overwhelmed at times but clawing for every inch he can get.

141: Gus continues to look sharp. Still not in love with him up a weight, but if he continues to wrestle like that i'll go along with it.

149: Weird night for solomon. Not sure if he's still adjusting to 149 or what but i really thought he was gonna start this season on fire.

157: Biggest bright spot of the night, Sal has seized control of 157, and any wrestleoff is now an afterthought. He got robbed on the first bow and arrow the ref stopped, but he just kept onn rolling. UNI and Mizzou will be good tests.

165: Dresser is just waiting for someone to step up here i think. Any of our 4 options seem to sorely lack offense. The starter long term will likely be the one who can score consistently, as none have shown that ability yet.

174: No real comment here. Epperly beat mappes by 6 two years ago, not much has changed.

184: Weirdly reminiscent of the michigan/abounader match last year in a puzzling way. At times i feel like ZZ falls in love with top riding, but he didnt get anything accomplished there, save building riding time. Ref didnt help, allowing the UTC wrestler to back up the whole match.

197: Came away very impressed with UTCs 197 lber. Not often guys can match jared's strength. Think that may look like a good win by years end.

285: Ty got caught napping on the one given up takedown (fiddling with headgear i think). Pretty sure Ty's kneee caught johnson on the temple and i was really surprised he was conscious after the ref stopped the action.

We're gonna learn a lot about our team next weekend
